(Sec. 8) Friends Academy 0, (Sec. 2) Hoosick Falls 0

Claudie Ratner made five saves for Friends Academy, which was named co-champions of Class C after playing a scoreless tie with Hoosick Falls in the state final Sunday morning at Homer HS. It is the first state title for Friends Academy (12-0-2). Hoosick Falls finishes 20-1-2.

 

SEMI-FINALS

Saturday, November 19

(Sec. 8) Friends Academy 3, (Sec. 5) Keshequa 2

Krystina Iordanou scored the game-winning goal for Friends Academy on a breakaway in the 64th minute to lead the Quakers over Keshequa in the Class C girls soccer state semifinals at SUNY-Cortland. Friends Academy (12-0-1) advances to the finals for the first time and will play Hoosick Falls at 10 a.m. Sunday at Homer HS.
