Bishop Kearney senior memory: Angela Carucci
It’s true when they say time flies when you’re having fun; my four years at Bishop Kearney have flown by and I’m not quite sure if I’m ready to leave. Kearney has become my second home and as sad as I am to leave I’m also excited to embark on my new journey. College life will be a little scary but it will bring upon many new opportunities. I will be attending Hofstra University in the fall, and will be majoring in broadcast journalism.
I feel like I have an advantage because of all I learned from MSG Varsity and from my fellow members of WBKS. I am truly thankful that I had chosen to go to Bishop Kearney High School. Doing so opened up a world of opportunities and inspired me to choose a career in broadcast journalism.
I have so many great memories from Kearney, one that I will never forget occurred in freshmen year. In English class, with Mrs. Herron, we put on a play for all of the other freshmen and it was great. Back then we thought we were so cool and thinking about it as a senior it’s hysterical. We acted, we danced, we sang, and we even made ‘Bishop Kearney’ come back to life. It was a totally classic moment that will go down in Kearney history because no other year had ever done this before.
I know that Hofstra University will also be the right choice, and I cannot wait to learn and explore the world ahead of me.
