While the rest of the CHSAA has been knocking each other off, Naz is lying low, preparing for its season opener against Mary Louis Monday.

No. 2 South Shore (4-1)
The Vikings aren’t punished for a loss to nationally-ranked Whitney Young (Ill.) Sunday and they bounced back nicely with a 66-37 win against Grand Street. Next up is a rematch of last year’s PSAL Class AA title game with Bergtraum.

No. 3 Bishop Ford (3-1)
The Lady Falcons made a big statement Monday, beating perennial powerhouse Christ the King, 54-52. It was Ford’s second win against the Royals in three years.

No. 4 Bishop Loughlin (2-0)
Led by Ayanna Ratliff, Bishop Loughlin made a huge statement Monday by beating Mary Louis. That came after the Lions knocked off 13-time defending PSAL champions Murry Bergtraum.

No. 5 Mary Louis (1-2)
The Hilltoppers were upset Monday, losing to scrappy Bishop Loughlin, 51-48. It’s a difficult loss considering the road ahead includes No. 1 Nazareth and No. 3 Bishop Ford.

No. 6 Christ the King (0-1)
The Royals had their chances, but failed to convert down the stretch and fell to Bishop Ford in their opener. CK will look to bounce back Saturday against Philadelphia-area powerhouse Archbishop Carroll.

No. 7 Moore Catholic (1-0)
Christina Rubin scored a game-high 25 points and Jamie O’Hare dished out 10 assists to lead the Mavericks to a season-opening win at JFK.

No. 8 Archbishop Molloy (2-0)
The Stanners are off to a nice start under new coach Scott Lagas. Carolyn Gallagher scored 19 points despite being hampered with an ankle injury as Molloy knocked off defending Virginia champion Sportswood (Va.) Saturday.

No. 9 John F. Kennedy (2-1)
It took longer than he wanted, but O’Neil Glenn liked his team’s defensive intensity in the fourth quarter of a 47-27 win against Kellenberg Sunday, his team’s third game in as many days.

No. 10 Murry Bergtraum (2-2)
After opening the season with back-to-back losses to Banneker and Bishop Loughlin, Bergtraum edged Truman and enjoyed a more traditional lopsided win against Boys & Girls.

No. 11 Benjamin Banneker (4-0)
Africa Williams had 33 points, eight rebounds and six assists in a 73-31 win against Boys & Girls Monday. In other words, it was just another game for the junior standout, who is averaging 25.7 points per game.

No. 12 Truman (4-2)
Krystal Pearson had 21 points, 12 rebounds and five assists and was one of four players to score in double figures in a 78-50 win against Midwood Friday.

No. 13 Cardinal Spellman (1-0)
The Pilots had a balanced attack in a season-opening win against St. Joseph Hill with veterans Onia Webb and Joye Tirado joined by newcomers Vanessa Stephens and Teresa Tartone.

No. 14 St. John Villa (1-1)
Danielle Iacampo had 14 points to lead Villa to a lopsided win against Port Richmond, which took away some of the bitter taste from a season-opening loss to Tottenville away.

No. 15 Francis Lewis (1-2)
The Patriots have stumbled out of the gate, losing to Kellenberg, 47-39, Saturday at the Under Armour Classic at St. John the Baptist.
