The Clippers might not have the mashers in their lineup, but the defending CHSAA Class AA champions’ pitching has been out of this world with three straight league shutouts. Next: St. Edmund Prep (Tuesday, 4 p.m.)

3 St. Joseph by the Sea 3-0 4

The Vikings, which routed Moore Catholic, 7-1 last week, have a pretty powerful one-two punch from the mound in Brian Russell and Chris Falcone. Next: Monsignor Farrell (Tuesday, 4 p.m.)

4 Poly Prep 4-1 5

Andrew Zapata lives for big games and added yet another pressure-filled win to his growing resume Saturday with a 5-2 win at No. 5 George Washington. Next: Dalton (Wednesday, 4:30 p.m.)

The Trojans remain undefeated in PSAL play, but has lost to Cardozo and now Poly Prep in the non-league. Next: Stuyvesant (Tuesday, 4 p.m.)

The Pirates have actually lost just once on the field – an extra-inning defeat to Grand Street Campus in the Monroe Tournament. Tottenville’s three PSAL losses were forfeits for using an ineligible player. Next: Port Richmond (Wednesday, 4 p.m.)

7 Fordham Prep 4-0 8

Virginia Tech-bound Andrew Velazquez has been on a tear since the Rams opened the season with a surprising rout of rival Iona Prep. The senior shortstop has three home runs and eight RBIs. Next: @ Salesian (Tuesday, 4 p.m.)

The Judges continued to prove they are among the PSAL Elite, losing to No. 1 Grand Street Campus by one in a non-league game Saturday. Next: No. 12 John Adams (Tuesday, 4 p.m.)
