Connecticut boys basketball rankings (2/14)
1. St. Joseph (17-0)
The No. 1-ranked team in the state needs victories over Greenwich, Ridgefield and Warde to complete an undefeated regular season.
2. Kolbe Cathedral (16-0)
The Cougars can lock up the top seed in the SWC tournament with a victory over 16-1 Immaculate on Friday.
3. Fairfield Prep (15-2)
The MSG Varsity cameras will be at Alumni Hall for Friday night's showdown against Foran.
4. Westhill (12-5)
This team has the pieces in place to make a deep run in the postseason. The Vikings took powerhouse St. Joe's to the wire in Trumbull last week, and then knocked off intracity rival Trinity Catholic three days later.
5. Trinity Catholic (13-5)
When the Crusaders put it all together, they can be scary. Just ask defending FCIAC champ Bassick, which fell 9-156 at Walsh Court last week.
6. Ridgefield (14-3)
Impressive job by the Tigers scoring the game's final 10 points in a 51-41 victory over Warde last week. But that was followed up b a home loss to 7-10 Ludlowe on Monday.
7. Bassick (13-4)
So which Lions team will show up the rest of the season -- the one that lost to Trinity Catholic by 35, or the one that beat Greenwich by 37 three days later?
8. Notre Dame-Fairfield (14-4)
Talk about building momentum for the postseason -- the Lancers have won nine straight after Monday's rout of Oxford.
9. Watertown (14-3)
The Indians were cooled off by St. Paul Catholic, 59-52, on Friday night.
10. Amity (14-4)
Better bring your hard hat and lunch pail against the grind-it-out Spartans.
