The visiting Bears (14-5) are peaking at the right time, having won six straight and currently are No. 5 in the FCIAC standings.
Emma Oyomba, a 6-foot-1 junior post player, has had an outstanding season for Norwalk and come sin averaging 13.2 points and 11 rebounds per contest. The Bears have also gotten a spark off the bench from super sub Erica Cohens, a sophomore who is averaging 11.3 points and 3.3 steals per game.
Seniors Katie Schmidt (7.7 ppg) and Noonan Alexis (6.1 ppg) are two of the other primary scorers for Norwalk, which is in line to play at Wilton in the league quarterfinals on Saturday.
As for the Vikings (10-9), they snapped a four-game losing skid and kept their FCIAC tournament hopes alive with a 51-48 victory over New Canaan on Monday.
Tyler Evans had 18 points and Megan D'Alessandro added 11 for Westhil, which along with Norwalk has already clinched a CIAC Class LL playoff berth.
