GIRLS SOCCER
North Rockland 3, Clarkstown South 1
North Rockland picked up a road victory, beating Clarkstown South, 3-1 in a girls soccer matchup.
The teams were tied 1-1 at halftime before North Rockland, the state’s top-ranked team in Class AA, put the game away in the second half. Eleni Anselmi and Nicole Aylmer had a goal and assist. Andy Curcio was the other goal scorer for North Rockland. Liz Pahiakos tallied the lone goal for Clarkstown South. Goalie Brooke Schwartz made 12 saves.
BOYS SOCCER
Port Chester 3, Hamilton 1
Port Chester pulled away in the second half for a 3-1 victory over Hamilton. Hamilton goalie Mark Larios made 12 saves, but couldn’t make enough stops for the victory.
Port Chester was led by Kevin Riveros’ two goals. Rafael Mandujano added another goal. David Lopez scored for Hamilton.
John Jay-East Fishkill 4, Poughkeepsie 0
At John Jay-East Fishkill, the home team posted a shutout, beating Poughkeepsie 4-0. John Jay East Fishkill scored the game winner 31 minutes into the match. Sophomore Blake Kozoski deflected a cross from Trevor O’Connor for a goal. John Jay-East Fishkill moves to 8-0 on the year and plays at Lourdes on Wednesday.
