MILLBROOK, N.Y. – Five games into the 2012 spring season, one thing is apparent — the Spackenkill High School baseball team is going to score runs.
For the third time this season the Spartans scored in double figures, this time going on the road to pummel Millbrook, 15-3, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League game on Wednesday.
The defending Section 9 Class B champions are now 3-2 overall, and 2-0 in the MHAL.
Spackenkill has beaten Beacon 11-2, Webutuck 14-7 and now a season-high 15 runs in the victory over the Blazers. Even in one of its two losses, the Spartans nearly scored in double figures when they tallied eight times in falling to Cornwall in the Beacon Bulldog Classic.
The other loss was to 2011 Section 1 Class AA semifinalist Arlington.
