Warwick, NY.—Warwick HS is proud to honor Joseph Ghiloni as this week’s Warwick HS Student-Athlete of the Week sponsored locally by ALLSTATE Insurance Bill Garcia Agency. The senior two-sport standout (football and baseball) has started the baseball season batting .312 with 10 RBI’s and six stolen bases as the team has won five consecutive games (Washingtonville, Port Jervis and Monroe Woodbury). Joe is the leader of the infield at shortstop and a team captain.
Joe has a 90 grade point average in season and has recently been accepted to the University of New Hampshire where he is a recruited walk-on for the varsity football team. Joe competed for the Wildcats as a wide receiver, running back, defensive back punter and kicker and was also the recipient of the 44 jersey for the 2011 season. Joe’s busy schedule includes a challenging academic load and is taking European History for 3 College Credits.
Joe is the son of David and Gigi (Iannillo) Ghiloni who is a former cheerleader for the Wildcats’ (Class of 1982).
