Wednesday's MSG Varsity livecast will feature a girls hoops showdown between Sleepy Hollow and Ardsley.
Sleepy Hollow enters the matchup with a record of 4-2. The Lady Horsemen are coming off a 55-51 loss to Nyack on December 19.
Senior guard Jamie Bucci, a returning all-league selection, orchestrates the Sleepy Hollow's offense. Bucci showcased her all-around game in a 49-40 win over Saunders on December 16, racking up 14 points, seven assists and five steals.
Ardsley — which is coming off a solid 47-44 win over Ursuline on December 19 — enters with a record of 5-2.
The Panthers are led by standout junior point guard Toni Pilla, who is averaging a team-high 18.2 points per game this season. Coach Michael Pollio called Pilla "the best shooter in the section." Pilla, a starter at point guard since eighth grade, became registered her 1,000th career point in a 47-44 loss to Somers back on December 10. She became just the third Ardsley player to achieve the milestone.
