Mount St. Michael takes a trip to Staten Island to face off against division rival Monsignor Farrell today in this boys lacrosse game live on MSGVarsity.com at 5:30pm.
The Mountaineers (3-4) head onto the Lions turf for a NYCHSAA Class A playoff rematch against a Monsignor Farrell (5-1) team on a hot streak.
Aside from a loss to Poly Prep, the Lions have been dominating their early schedule, defeating their opponents by an average of 10 goals per contest. Monsignor Farrell is out for a measure of revenge against the Mountaineers after losing to them in all three of their match-ups last year, including a 6-5 loss in last season's Class A final.
With a quicker start out of the gate than last season's 2-3 stumble, the Lions will be intent on taking out their Bronx rival.
On the other hand, the Mountaineers have had trouble in the early goings with their schedule, already surpassing their loss total from all of last year.
Mount will look to pick up where it left off last season with Farrell in the hopes that a win will give it momentum as it ventures into the middle of its schedule.
