Crossan signs with Univ. of New Hampshire
Sachem North star running back Dalton Crossan has officially signed with the University of New Hampshire Wednesday morning.
Crossan was a co-winner of the Hansen Award, given to the most outstanding football player in Suffolk County. He shared the award with James Madison-bound Stacey Bedell of William Floyd.
The Sachem North senior finished the season with 2,216 yards rushing and a school-record 38 touchdowns as he led his Flaming Arrows to their third straight Suffolk County Division I championship game. He scored at least three touchdowns in seven out of 11 games in 2011.
He moved to quarterback midway through the season when his younger brother, Trent went down with a leg injury and flourished under center.
Crossan had been considering Buffalo, Fordham, Pennsylvania, Stony Brook and Syracuse.
