Former St. Anthony's Star Scuderi Enjoying NHL Ride
LA Kings/Bernstein Associates
UNIONDALE, NY -- Over the past 116 years, there had never been a native Long Islander’s name engraved on the Stanley Cup. Until this past June, that is.
Current Los Angeles Kings defenseman and St. Anthony’s High School alumnus (Class of 1997), Rob Scuderi changed that during the 2008-09 NHL season. Scuderi, then a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, won the oldest trophy in professional sports by helping to defeat the Detroit Red Wings, four games to three.
