    Nine seconds into the game, Brentwood senior forward Alejandro Callejas took a pass from senior Rayneri Ruiz and scored from the right wing. The goal may have happened in an instant, but its impact lasted for the remaining 79 minutes and 51 seconds of the Indians' 1-0 victory over Commack that clinched them at least a tie for the Suffolk I title.

    Spalding helps save the day for Glenn

    Luckily for the Knights, that's exactly what happened as Glenn held on to a 2-1 victory Wednesday at Miller Place High School in Suffolk VI boys soccer. Glenn (12-0-2, 8-0-2 Suffolk VI) moved into first place in the league with the victory and Spalding, who made seven saves and has only allowed six goals all season, proved key in fighting off a late Miller Place rally.

    Regardless, those who showed up to Miller Place High School Wednesday saw Hirdt score his seventh goal of the season to give the Panthers a 1-0 victory. Hirdt recovered a loose ball about 30 yards from the goal. He immediately put a shot on net and beat the diving East Hampton keeper to the left side of the net. kicking a line drive with 10:50 remaining in the first half.

    Relentless passing keys Islip's win

    Connor Powers won the ball just inside midfield and carried it toward the box. With Sharpe making a run to the corner, Powers played the ball toward the flag through two defenders. Sharpe then sent a cross into the box, where a charging Junger Herazo fired the ball into the net with 13:19 left in the first half.
