Lawrence: Buskin's review
Lawrence High School is popular for its athletics as well as its music department. However, the school's acting has been catching some attention of late. This past weekend, the famous play "All My Sons" came to life in the school's theatre. The actors included Michael Grossman, Ayal Ciobotaru, and Nicole Eras just to name a few.
"It's definitely bittersweet to have this be my last play,” says Michael Grossman, senior male lead. “I've been here for four years and each year I become more involved."
The play was performed Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. One of the highlights of the night was Nicole Eras' monologue. The audience was stunned and pleased as the students became actors, not just high school students in another production. Mr Nici, AP English teacher, says it was the best play he had seen in all his years of teaching.
The acting department begins rehearsals on their third and final production "Barefoot in the Park" on Monday, March 12.
