    Live game primer: Southampton at Sachem East girls basketball

    Simultaneous live access will be happening tonight as Southampton travels to Sachem East for a non-league girls basketball matchup starting at 6:15 p.m. You can also catch the live stream of Monsignor Farrell vs. Brentwood wrestling on MSGVarsity.com as well starting at 6:00 p.m.

    As for the girls basketball tilt, Sachem East comes into tonight’s game with a perfect 1-0 record on the young the season. The Flaming Arrows were able to take care of Northport on December 8 with a 50-41 victory. Sachem East led 27-22 at the half, but used a 12-6 third quarter to ensure the win.

    Katie Doherty led the way with 18 points in the game, while Kathleen Everson and Emily Carmel had 9 and 8 points respectively.

    On the other side, Southampton has played four games on the season. They bring a 2-2 record into tonight’s matchup after finishing a three games in four days swing with a 38-33 win over Lindenhurst.

    Noel and Paris Hodges each topped their season averages with 12 points in the game. Cassidy Guida added 9 points, while Kesi Goree added 1 point. Goree is the team’s leading scorer through four game, averaging 13.7 per contest.
