Livecast primer: East Islip vs. West Islip boys soccer
The Islips meet once again.
Three weeks after both teams ended in a stalemate with no goals, East Islip and West Islip will meet again on the boys soccer pitch. This time MSGVarsity.com Gametime Livecast will be there to capture all the action.
Opening kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m. from West Islip High School.
East Islip is a team that has been fit to be tied lately. The Redmen have earned draws in three of their last four contests and have finished even in their last two games.
Most recently the Redmen played to a 2-2 draw against Newfield on Monday afternoon. Nolan Ferrin and Zack Acocella both scored goals for East Islip, while Frank Noviello made 10 saves to earn East Islip a hard-earned 2-2 draw.
On the plus side, with all of these draws the Redmen are undefeated in their last five games.
West Islip, much like its opponents are fresh off a draw of its own on Monday - this time a 1-1 tie to Smithtown West. Max Cuiffo had the Lions lone goal in the second half as Sean McAllister made nine saves to keep Smithtown West from taking advantage.
