Livecast primer: Mepham at Oceanside girls soccer
Two Nassau County girls soccer teams will meet in a Conference AA-I matchup as Oceanside takes on Mepham on MSGVarsity.com Gametime Livecast.
Opening kickoff is slated to commence at 7:00 p.m. from Oceanside High School.
The Sailors of Oceanside HS (1-4, 2-4-1) are looking to get back on the right following a tough 4-0 shutout loss to League I's first place team, Massapequa on Friday.
Oceanside did however take advantage of a winless East Meadow team in their previous contest in a 2-0 victory on September 24. Julia Duffey and Rachel Blackley had the goals while Emily Doherty made six saves in net for the shutout win.
Mepham (2-2-1, 2-2-1) are coming off a hard-fought 1-1 draw against MSGVarsity.com's number-eight ranked MacArthur. Ashley Appel had the only goal for Mepham in a well earned tie game.
The Pirates have played their opponents close all year, and aside from their last win (2-0 over Bellmore-JFK), all of their games have been decided by at least one goal this season.
Be sure to join MSGVarsity.com for all the action live at 7:00 p.m. at Oceanside HS.
