Lawrence 62, Valley Stream South 7: Joe Capobianco threw five touchdown passes, three to Eddie Robinson, and both players set records in the Golden Tornadoes’ semifinal playoff victory in Nassau III. Capobianco’s 35 TD passes in 2012 for the season broke the Nassau record of 34 set in by Oceanside’s Tyler Heuer in 2010. Robinson’s 19 TD catches in 2012 broke the Long Island record of 17 set by Brian Tornee of Commack in 2000. Lawrence is 10-0 and will play for the county championship on Friday at 4 p.m. at Hofstra. Valley Stream South finished 6-4.

Thursday, November 15

Farmingdale 12, Massapequa 9: Kevin Petit Frere scored on a 24-yard run in the fourth quarter to help lift No. 1 Farmingdale (9-1) in a Nassau Conference I semifinal at Hofstra. Zach Kolodny added a 30-yard field goal in the win. Farmingdale will take on Baldwin in the Conference I final on Friday at noon at Hofstra.

Baldwin 67, Oceanside 27: Javaun Tomlinson scored three touchdowns on 168 yards rushing as Baldwin (8-2) broke the Nassau County single-game playoff record for points in a game with Nassau Conference I, 67-27 win over No. 2 Oceanside (8-2). Baldwin will meet Farmingdale in the Conference I final on Friday at noon at Hofstra.
