The William Floyd boys basketball team brought home another win as they conquered Longwood’s team on Saturday, January 28.
The players started off the first quarter with an exceptional offense led by Anthony White, LaShon Washington, Brian Samuelson, and Devin Burney. Their impressive plays gave the team a five-point lead, which gave them confidence as they carried on into the second quarter. Although one of the star players on the Colonials, Anthony White, was injured early on, the team pressed on with ease and made several shots, courtesy of Malik Dennis, Derek Haase, and Devonte Dixon and others. Defense helped seal the game by protecting the 12-point lead.
The boys basketball team demonstrated utter determination by persevering through the game and adding to their well-earned winning record of 8-1. Our talented team continues to make us proud by putting on a spectacle in each game they participate in. With each win, the Colonial spirit is shown throughout the building as crowd's beam with pride and roar in the stands to encourage our team.
