2011 All-New Jersey girls volleyball team
Meet the athletes who excelled during the 2011 girls volleyball season. The teams were selected by the MSG Varsity New Jersey staff writers.
FIRST TEAM
MANDY GARBARINO
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Immaculate Heart Academy, Sr., Setter
IHA’s senior leader recorded 30 service aces, 124 service points, 20 kills, 761 assists, and 70 digs. She finished with 1,243 career assists for the 2011 Tournament of Champions winners.
MICHELLE CRUZ
Immaculate Heart Academy, Jr., Libero
Cruz notched 63 aces, 233 service points and 330 digs, establishing herself as the most prominent libero in the state.
KELLY DALEY
Bogota, Jr., Outside hitter
Daley registered 242 service points and 48 service aces for the Bucs, who were the runner ups in Bergen County and made a deep Tournament of Champions run.
CARLY O’SULLIVAN
Bogota, So., Outside hitter
O’Sullivan proved to be the heart and soul of the Bucs, amassing a whopping 430 kills, 206 service points and 53 aces.
JUILA TOPOR
Bogota, Jr., Outside hitter
Topor displayed fantastic court presence and contributed greatly to the Bucs’ playoff run. The junior racked up 352 kills, 208 service points and 72 digs.
KATE BROCK
River Dell, Sr., Outside hitter
Brock’s efforts were one of the biggest reasons why the Golden Hawks reached the Tournament of Champions semifinals. The senior registered 229 kills and 83 digs to punctuate her spectacular career.
