Nation's top recruit praises Kyle Anderson

If the nation's top recruit ends up at UCLA, credit the assist to St. Anthony's Kyle Anderson.
Shabazz Muhammad, a highly coveted small forward from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, has been compared to Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony and is closing in on making his college decision.
But in front of a slew of reporters after scoring a game-high 37 points en route to lifitng his team to a 73-65 victory over No. 3 DeMatha Catholic (Md.) on Monday afternoon at the 2012 Spalding Hoophall Classic, he gushed about Anderson.
"He's a great contributor. He sees the floor so well. He's just a great player," Muhammad said. "Who wouldn't want to play with Kyle? He sees the floor at 6-foot-9, and most guys who are 6-foot-9 can't even dribble."
Anderson, who recorded 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals in the Friars' 60-48 win over Miller Grove (Ga.), is a UCLA commit -- and could sway the recruiting process for the human highlight-reel.
"Oh, definitely," Muhammad said when asked if Kyle's commitment to the Bruins could affect his choice.
The 6-foot-6, high-flying Muhammad is considering Kentucky, Duke, UCLA, UNLV, Arizona and Kansas. He said he will take three official visits this year, most likely to Duke, Kansas and Arizona because UCLA and UNLV are "too close" to Las Vegas.
