Indian Hills, Ramapo set for showdown
Now that Indian Hills has been bounced from the Bergen County tournament, the Braves can turn their focus to positively renewing their rivalry with Ramapo when the Group 3 powers face off on Thursday afternoon.
The much-anticipated showdown is slated to start at 4 p.m. at Indian Hills High School, and will be live-streamed exclusively on MSGVarsity.com.
Indian Hills was shocked by New Milford in the Bergen County tournament's first round. The 28th-ranked Lady Knights knocked off the fifth-ranked Braves in what was labeled one of the most eye-opening upsets in the event's history.
Sophomore catcher Danielle Laube tripled in two runs with one out in the seventh inning to propel New Milford. The Knights never trailed, scoring three runs in the first inning.
Indian Hills, though, is still regarded as one of the top programs in the Garden State, so expect the squad to brush off its recent misfortune. In actuality, the Braves have already goten back to their winning ways, recording a 2-1 victory over Wayne Valley on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Ramapo is still alive in the Bergen tournament. The Green Raiders, seeded 16th in the event, will face No. 1 IHA on Saturday at noon. In their most recent contest, they defeated Park Ridge, 2-0, on May 12 thanks to a two-run sixth inning rally.
