Livecast primer: BW-Raritan vs. Old Bridge
OLD BRIDGE, N.J. – Old Bridge hopes to extend its winning streak to three games when it hosts Bridgewater-Raritan in girls volleyball on Monday.
The much-anticipated showdown is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m., and will be live-streamed exclusively on MSGVarsity.com.
After falling to J.P Stevens and Colonia, respectively, in the first two contests of the season, the Knights (2-2) have rattled off two straight victories en route to gaining some much-needed momentum. They defeated Woodbridge in three games, 19-25, 25-15, 25-12, and then two days later cruised past North Brunswick in two games, 25-23, 25-13.
In its latest success, Old Bridge was led by Katie Shek, who notched one ace, 16 assists and three kills, and a two-ace, six-kill performance from Marta Belli.
Bridgewater-Raritan, meanwhile, is aiming to instill some consistency within its production on the court. The Panthers (2-2) are coming off an impressive, two-game win over Hillsborough, but have yet to win two in a row.
In the early season, Bridgwater-Raritan has been paced by Elizabeth Rynar and Jill Prusarczyk, who registered six kills, 27 assists and five digs in the last match.
