TITLE CHASE: Delbarton has 11 group championships, more than any other school. Don Bosco is making its first championship appearance.

TRENDS: Don Bosco and Bridgewater-Raritan are the last remaining undefeated teams in the state. Delbarton has won two straight games since a 5-3 loss Chaminade of Long Island.

LAST MEETING: Delbarton beat Bosco, 9-4, in a 2010 regular-season game.

LAST YEAR

Don Bosco Prep lost to St. Augustine, 14-5, in the Non-Public A semifinals. Delbarton captured the Non-Public A crown and lost to Summit, 10-5, in the Tournament of Champions semifinals.

NUMBERS: Don Bosco averages 13.16 gpg. and allows 5.0. Delbarton averages 11.9 gpg. and allows 6.0.

SHINING MOMENTS

Don Bosco Prep defeated Ridgewood, 8-4, on May 12 to claim its first Bergen County Tournament title. Jack Ray scored three goals and Max Allen dished out four assists to pace the win.

Delbarton edged Georgetown Prep of Washington, D.C., 11-10, April 14 several days after losing consecutive nail-biters to St. Anthony (Long Island), 10-9, and Chatham, 5-4.
