Former Don Bosco Prep defensive back Yuri Wright, one of the most heralded football prospects in the nation, has enrolled at Ramsey High School.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder, who signed his national letter of intent with Colorado last week, helped the Ironmen capture their second national championship in three years and sixth straight Non-Public Group 4 crown this past fall.
Wright, who participated in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio last month, chose the Buffaloes over Rutgers and Notre Dame.
Named to the MSG Varsity All-New Jersey second team, Wright served as one of the backbones of Don Bosco's defensive unit along with Elijah Shumate, Jabrill Peppers and Darius Hamilton, who was named the National Defensive Player of the Year.
A native of Spring Valley, N.Y., Wright -- the subject of news across the country -- was dismissed from Don Bosco Prep in mid-January for disciplinary reasons.
