    New Jersey Big 10 (1/24/11)

    1. St. Patrick Boys Basketball

The undefeated Celtics are the nation's No. 1 team. Kevin Boyle's troops are playing at a fever-pitch level, led by Kentucky bound Michael Gilchrist (18.8 ppg).

    2. Neptune Girls Basketball

This past week was huge for Jersey's top girls basketball team. The Scarlet Fliers looked impressive, defeating both Christ The King and Red Bank Catholic by double digits.

    3. Jackson Memorial Wrestling

The 8-1 Jaguars held their own last week, knocking off highly touted Delbarton only to lose in a close match to powerful South Plainfield. Doug Hamann is the state's top ranked wrestler at 152 lbs.

    4. Delbarton Hockey

The Green Wave just capped a three game Midwest road trip with a 3-2 win over Breck, one of Minnesota's top teams. Delbarton has now won 91 of its last 100 games.

    5. Chatham Girls Swimming

The Cougars captured 10 of 11 events , hammering powerful Mountain Lakes, 112-58. Senior Greta Leberfinger led the way for undefeated Chatham.

    6. Randolph Hockey

The Rams only blemish is a 2-2 tie with rival Morris Knolls. As usual, the key for Randolph is stifling defense and superior goaltending.

    7. Shabazz Girls Basketball

The (10-0) Bulldogs are beginning to click now. The exciting Alliyah Handford leads the way offensively. Next Friday, a mega matchup vs. Neptune at the Prudential Center.

    8. Chatham Hockey

The Cougars are skating in championship form under legendary coach Harvey Cohen. The prolific scoring duo of Alex Rauter and Danny Casey are entertaining to watch.

    9. Mountain Lakes Boys Swimming

The unbeaten Lakers crushed rival Chatham, 111-59. Mike McElduff and Garrett Pullis led the charge for perennial power Mountain Lakes.

    10. Bernards Girls Fencing

The (6-0) Mountaineers have opened some eyes, finishing second in the state's prestigious Santelli Tournament. Bernards' trio of Vivian Young, Lizzie Elkind, and Amanda Owen claimed the Epee title.
