Hamilton 94, Ewing 76
Hamilton slipped past Ewing in a 94-76 victory on Tuesday afternoon for its first win of the season. Maddie Uram and Emma Fritzinger each won two individual events for the Hornets. The Blue Devils, Emily Driver swam to first in the 100-meter backstroke and lead off in the winning 400-meter Freestyle relay team. Liz Biroc, Fritzinger, Uram and Sofi Walter finished first in the 200-meter Freestyle relay in 2:13.56 for Hamilton. Ewing sinks to 1-7 as Hamilton becomes 1-8.
Paramus 115, Passaic Tech 55
Paramus swims past Passaic Tech, 115-55 for its first win of the season. The Patriots snap a two meet losing streak, improving 1-2. The Bulldogs sinks to 3-8 and faces Garfield on January 20.
Boys Swimming
Passaic Tech 112, Paramus 58
Passaic Tech defeated Paramus 112-58 to win its second meet of the season on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs snapped a three meet losing streak, with a previous win over Wayne Hills on January 4. Passaic Tech improves to 2-9 and faces Garfield on January 20. Falling to 0-4, the Patriots face Passaic on January 20.
Hamilton 107, Ewing 60
Hamilton sinks Ewing, 107-60, for its first win of the season on Tuesday afternoon. Alex Maevsky finished first in two individual events and anchored in the winning 400-meter Freestyle and 200-meter Medley relay teams for the Hornets. The Blue Devil’s Micah Bergstrom won the 50-meter Freestyle and the 100-meter Butterfly. Will Craver won the 200 IM for the 1-8 Hamilton squad. Ewing drops to 2-8 on the season.
