Sam Ackerman moved to 2-0 with an 8-4 triumph over Columbia on Monday. He’s rung up 18 strikeouts in 10 2/3 innings.

Don’t let the 5-7, 155-pound frame fool you. Senior shortstop Brock Podgruski packs some pop. He has homered in all four games for the perennial power.
