St. Peter's Prep quarterback Brandon Napoleon signed his national letter of intent with West Virginia on Wednesday.

The fleet-footed signal-caller threw for 1,218 yards and 11 touchdowns in a season in which he missed time after suffering a concussion. He helped St. Peter's to a 7-4 record in 2011-12.

He chose the Mountaineers over Rutgers, North Carolina, Indiana, Illinois and Connecticut.

Meanwhile, teammates D.J. Singleton and Michael Giacone signed their letters of intent with West Virginia and Boston College, respectively.

Singleton, a linebacker and safety, is ranked among the top 15 at his positions in the nation. He registered 48 tackles in 2011-12.

Meanwhile, Giacone backed away from his verbal commitment with Rutgers and opted to join the Eagles.

The 6-foot-5 coveted tight end originally pledged to the Scarlet Knights in July, but when coach Greg Schiano left for the head job of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he opted to switch to his No. 2 choice.

Giacone chose the Eagles over Connecticut and Maryland. He recorded 16 receptions for 217 yards and two scores this past season.
