The Pirates scored consecutive upsets over Glen Ridge, 8-3, and St. Joseph (Met.), 10-7, behind the offensive play of Tim Mulrenan, Joe Gillis and Paul Werner to burst onto the poll. They face more steep challenges Thursday against Lawrenceville and Saturday vs. No. 4 Chatham.
The Ridgers were tied at 7-7 with Mountain Lakes heading into the fourth quarter Saturday, but fell, 10-8. Defenders John Winchell and Eric Prezioso will look to halt Don Bosco's hot offense Wednesday in Bloomfield.

Austin Nibblet, Logan St. John and goalie Brandyn Merkle have been supplying exceptional defensive play for the Marauders while Tyler McEvoy and Conor Buoye continue to spark the offense.
