Conway Brothers commit to Yale
Just days before the official start of the high school football season in Section 1, the area’s best brother tandem announced where they’re headed next fall.
Bronxville seniors Christian and Jackson Conway committed this weekend to play for Yale University. The Conways are 5-foot-10, 205-pound running backs and linebackers who play integral parts on last year’s state championship squad.
Christian was a first-team all-state selection in Class C as a junior. He rushed for 1,617 yards and 23 touchdowns on 147 carries (11 avg.). At linebacker, he averaged 6.1 tackles and recorded three sacks.
Jackson averaged 6.3 tackles per game and rushed for 557 yards and two touchdowns on just 56 carries (10 avg.).
The Conways are also standout baseball players for the Broncos.
Bronxville, which went 13-0 last season, begins its title defense when preseason camps open on Friday in Section 1.
Check back this week for video interviews with the Conway brothers.
