Nia Balbo is currently a senior at Kellenberg Memorial High School. She started singing at four years old while in the car with her family. She began formalizing her career at six when she performed in the song Colors of the Wind and then acted in her first show as an 8th Grader in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The National Honor Society student is inspired by Adele and Demi Lovato since they both overcame major obstacles to become successful. She admires Lovato for being from a small town and overcoming her eating disorder while maintaining a strong image for her fans.
Nia has been a very active member in her youth group for the past five years, taking part in “Broadway for Backpacks” where performers raise funds for school supplies by performing Broadway tunes. Nia also loves the theatre and hopes to perform on the big stage in the future.
Nia currently resides in Island Park, New York.
