Girls lacrosse in Westchester will be showcased Friday night at Rye high school as Conference III, League A rival Fox Lane comes into town at 6:45 p.m. Both teams are coming off of significant victories, posting 16 goals a piece in their respective games. Seniors Sammy Jo Tracy (Fox Lane) and Emma Brinkman (Rye) will take leadership positions on attack, and are supported by talent across the field.
Fox Lane will look to continue its momentum after a 16-4 win over Ossining. Senior captains Sydney Stern and Sammy Jo Tracy have posted strong numbers offensively and will test Rye's defense often.
Rye posted a 16-4 win against Horace Greeley. With the season still in its early stages, the story for Rye has been scoring parody. In its past 3 games, a different player has led the offense. That scoring depth will be critical come playoff time and should challenge a Fox Lane defense that has averaged 8 goals against in the past 3 contests.
