Panthers coach Joan Spedafino won her 400 th career game over the weekend in dramatic fashion — a no-hitter by ace Jess Calvini. Things are just going Rye Neck’s way this season. |

The Dukes knocked off Highland on Monday, 7-1, to continue their tear through Section 9. Emily McDonough went 3 for 4 to push her season average to .659. | |

The Indians drop down the ranks following a surprising 1-0 loss to Carmel. They’ll have their chance to climb back up as they travel this weekend to Herkimer of the prestigious Morabito tournament. |

The Pelicans enter the Top 10 after impressive wins over previously-ranked Eastchester and a streaking Valhalla and Harrison squads. The win over Valhalla came in their final at-bat. |

It’s time to give the Bears their due. Their only losses have come to John Jay-East Fishkill and Ketcham, and they will make a serious run at a Top 3 seed in the Class A playoffs. |
