The event billed as the "Saw Mill Slugfest" will begin at 10am at Pleasantville high school, but the real event of the day will be the boys lacrosse game between Pleasantville and Briarcliff at 4 p.m. Separated by less than 2 miles , these teams will battle for bragging rights across town. Both the Panthers and Bears are coming off losses, meaning the game intensity will be that more higher as they look to string some wins together.
Pleasantville has had this game circled on the schedule all season. Though they've had tough losses recently, expect the Panthers to come out swinging against rival Briarcliff. Lack of offense has not been a problem all season and you can expect that success to continue Saturday.
The Bears are coming off a though loss to undefeated Croton-Harmon, but found success in their previous game against Westlake tallying 13. That effort was led by Junior attack, Joel Haeling with 4 goals. Rounding out the cast were seniors Ricky Grassey and Alec Freidhof with 2 a piece.
