Semifinals - Saturday

Fox Lane 5, North Rockland 4 (9 innings)

The Foxes scored two runs in the top of the seventh, one in the eighth, and two in the ninth to pull out a come-from-behind victory over North Rockland in the Northeast Elite Tournament semifinals. It was the second consecutive one-run victory for Fox Lane in the tournament. North Rockland won an extra-inning game in the quarterfinals. Richard Slenker hit the game-winning single in the top of the ninth and finished the day 3-for-5. Fox Lane will face Don Bosco Prep in the tournament championship shortly.

Quarterfinals - Friday

Fox Lane 2, George Washington 1

At North Rockland, Michael Johnston hit a two-run homer in the third inning to support a terrific complete-game effort by left-hander Julian Haddad. The pitcher, who's coming off an injury, struck out seven (all in the first four innings) and allowed just four hits and three walks to the PSAL power. The Foxes will play North Rockland in the semifinals on Saturday at 1:15 p.m.

North Rockland 4, Fordham Prep 3 (8 innings)

At North Rockland, Michael Rastelli delivered a walkoff RBI single with out in the eighth at the Red Raiders advanced. Fordham Prep (7-1) trailed 2-1 in the top of the seventh when Steven Fondu hit a two-out two-run single. Joe Anselmi tied the game in the bottom of the inning with a two-out RBI single. Anselmi pitched eight innings, allowing one earned run on six hits with three strikeouts. North Rockland will meet Fox Lane in the semifinals.
